Tiki Fruits: Totem Frenzy transports players to a Polynesian island where they can enjoy spinning the reels on a beautiful beach. The reels are set in-between totem poles and a sunny soundtrack accompanies every spin, to put people in the tropical spirit.
The theme extends to the symbols on the reels. The high value symbols are gambling related and include 7s, diamonds, bells, stars and dice. The lower value symbols are pieces of tropical fruit. The slot doesn’t have any fixed wild or scatter symbols, rather they are created through the various bonus features.
Bonus Features
Whenever a winning combination lands the Winning Clusters feature is triggered. The winning symbols are removed to allow more to drop from above. This can potentially form another win and the process can then repeat itself.
On each spin, there are four Tiki Masks on the reels that are locked in place. If you land a winning cluster next to a mask then it becomes wild for the next cascade. It will also activate one of the four totems that are next to the reels. When two or more totems are active, it triggers one of the Totem Frenzy modifiers.
- Totem Frenzy Collect – This may trigger when two totems on the same side of the reels are active. The totems will collect one fruit symbol from the grid and that symbol will not land in any subsequent cascades to help you land bigger clusters.
- Totem Frenzy Remove – This may also trigger when two totems on the same side are active. The totems can clear the grid of symbols to allow a new set to drop and begin a new set of cascades.
- Totem Frenzy Generosity – This may trigger when three tiki masks are wild but there are no wins. The missing totem can turn the fourth mask wild and that way trigger the bonus round, the Tiki Spins.
The Tiki Spins begin when all four tiki masks have turned wild. This will normally award 10 free spins, but occasionally the big totem can award an additional five. The four tiki masks will remain wild for the duration of the free spins. Furthermore, above the reels is a series of fruit meters. If you land a win made up of a fruit symbol then it is collected in its meter. If you collect 35 pieces of the same fruit, then that symbol is removed from the reels for the rest of the feature.
