As is usual for NetEnt slots, Gonzo’s Quest is fantastically design with the story of Gonzo brought to life on the reels in stunning detail. The reels are set in the jungle amongst the ruins of Aztec temples. To the right of the reels is a small waterfall while to the left is Gonzo himself, who will occasionally break out into dance when you land an exciting win. The reels are brought to life with a number of enjoyable animations, while the gameplay is accompanied by atmospheric sound effects and music.
The theme extends to all of the symbols on the reels. They are all intricate block carvings, similar to those of ancient South American cultures. There is a special Free Fall symbol, which is essentially a scatter symbol, and it features a golden carving of a face. The wild symbol is a gold question mark against an intricate background. There are seven regular symbols, four of them are carvings of faces and they are coloured blue, green, brown and purple, the remaining three are carvings of animals coloured orange, red and blue.
Bonus Features
One of the slot’s main features is the Avalanche Multipliers. In the base game, every time that a winning combination lands on the reels, the symbols in it will crumble away and more will fall into place. With a bit of luck, this will form another win, and the process can continue repeating itself indefinitely. Better yet, each successive winning avalanche increases the payout multiplier. The first win receives a 1x multiplier, the second win receives a 2x multiplier, the third win receives a 3x multiplier and the fourth win receives a 5x multiplier.
The other main bonus feature is the Free Falls, which are the same as free spins. The Free Falls are triggered by landing three or more Free Fall symbols on an active payline. The symbols must appear in succession starting from the leftmost reel and players win 10 Free Falls for every bet line containing three symbols. How to Play
Gonzo’s Quest is a very simple game to play. There are two things that need to be done before spinning the reels.
